Is it safe to send my daughter to study a degree course in China? Is it cheap in China?

My dad had reservations when he first sent me off to China. I was 16 at the time I think.


Now, 9 years later, I live in Dalian, Liaoning China!


China really is incredibly safe. I could go running at 2 am and not be more than a tad more wary. Women don't get harassed nearly as often here and even then, it's more about the girl being foreign and them just wanting to say hello.


A degree in China will likely be much more affordable than one from the States or other Western countries.


I love living in China, I highly recommend it for your daughter. Feel free to ask if you or she have any specific concerns!

I personally don’t know you, I have never meet you in real life so I can’t pin point the specific reasons why you, my fellow quora questioner, might enjoy the academic life in this country.
